Year 1 or Year 2 Practicum

April- August 2025

Name of Practicum Site, Unit or Program:

Support & Growth Inc Private Practice

Location:

3660 Hurontario Street Suite 606, Mississauga, Ontario

Description of the practicum site and student activities:

The practicum site is a remote-based setting where students will gain hands-on experience while supporting the current support team. Students will play a key role in various tasks that are essential to the day-to-day operations of the team. These activities will include client intake, where students will assist in collecting and processing initial client information, as well as client matching, ensuring that clients are paired with the appropriate services or team members based on their needs.

Additionally, students will be responsible for rescheduling appointments as necessary, helping to ensure that clients remain engaged and that services are delivered efficiently. They will also participate in meet-and-greet follow-ups, ensuring that clients are satisfied with the services provided and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Students will have regular involvement in team meetings, where they can actively contribute to discussions and gain insight into the broader goals and operations of the team. Clinical supervision will also be an integral part of the experience, allowing students to receive ongoing guidance and feedback on their professional development. Through these activities, students will gain valuable experience in client relations, scheduling, communication, and teamwork, all while working in a remote and supportive environment.
