FIFSW’s Academic Strategic Plan
The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work’s 2017-2022 Academic Plan provides strategic directions for the Faculty as it moves toward its goal of bettering humanity.
The plan lays out four strategic directions:
1. Mobilize Knowledge
2. Promote Well-being & Equity
3. Foster Innovative Learning
4. Collaborate Locally/Nationally/Globally
Upon the start of his term in 2019, Dean Dexter Voisin undertook a series of individual “listen and learn” conversations with more than 80 stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, staff, community partners and central U of T leadership. Based on these discussions, a supplemental document was drafted to help amplify and guide the Faculty’s advancement priorities as it continues to realize the 2017-2022 plan. The addendum, Advancement Alignment Priorities: FIFSW at the Forefront of Social Impact, focuses on building support for efforts to strengthen FIFSW’s inclusivity, interdisciplinarity, innovation, and internationalization by increasing its impact five key areas: research, leadership, teaching, training and service.
