Description of the practicum site and student activities:
At the Learning Disabilities Association of York Simcoe, we assist children, youth and adults with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD as well as their families. Students will support with the organization and delivery of LDAYS’ programs and services throughout York Region and Simcoe County.
Activities include Program Facilitation, Service Navigation, Outreach and LD/ADHD Awareness Education, and Administration.

- Office Environment: Sitting for long periods of time and repetitive motions such as typing.
- Outreach and Program Environment: Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, frequent standing, and carrying approximately 15 pounds. High to moderate requirement for hand coordination, visual and cognitive abilities. Ability to hear clearly over distracting noise. Must have the ability to get along with the team and interact with the public.
