Year 1 Practicum

Catholic Family Services (CFS) Counseling & Wellbeing

Location: Barrie, ON (head office)

Description of the practicum site and student activities: The student will provide sessions in our single-session counseling clinic, with the potential for a small ongoing caseload. The student will also participate in group and individual supervision, all staff meetings, monthly clinical meetings, and is invited to become a member of the Social Committee. Students are also invited to attend staff events that are scheduled throughout the year.

Other requirements:

***Students do not have to own their own car and have a driver’s license (they can take public transportation, however, they must arrange for transportation to get to and from the office they are working from.

Experience in the social service field is a must. Clinical experience is a strong asset.

In-person, with the option of a hybrid schedule.
