Code of Ethics and Professional Practice
The professional and ethical performance of students is an essential component of the MSW program. Competence will be assessed in accordance with:
- University Assessment and Grading Practices Policy (2012)
- Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) Code of Ethics (PDF) and Guidelines for Ethical Practice (2005) (PDF)
- Standards of Professional Practice Behaviour for all Health Professional Students, University of Toronto (2015)
Breaches of the ethical and behavioral standards are serious and represent a failure to meet standards in a professional setting.
FIFSW adheres to:
- Other U of T policies, including but not limited to:
- Federal and Provincial Criminal Codes
- Standards set by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
