Biography
Kai Zhizhong is a registered psychotherapist, social worker and supervisor in China, boasting 20 years of clinical practice experience. His primary research interests center on the innovation of psychotherapy methodologies and the interdisciplinary integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with psychology.
A prolific innovator in his field, Kai has developed a series of original technological solutions and holds multiple patents, software copyrights and hardware devices. Representative innovations include PsyChess, an AI-driven automatic psychological analysis model for the “House-Tree-Person” (HTP) projective test, self-service mental health service kiosks, automated teaching robots for psychological education, and an AI-based mindfulness training system. He has also taken on responsibilities encompassing AI model training and software system design.
His doctoral dissertation focuses on the application of chatbots in social work practice. Specifically, it explores the feasibility of leveraging chatbots to deliver social work services, collect client information, and administer psychological assessments. To support this research, he has designed a dedicated chatbot for psychological assessment.
Kai demonstrates a strong focus on the commercialization of scientific research and technological innovations. He possesses access to market channels and resource networks essential for the industrialization of research outcomes within the Chinese context.
