Technology Requirements for Students
While our classes are delivered in person, many academic and co-curricular activities require the use of a computer.
It is recommended that FIFSW students have access to a computer that supports Microsoft Windows 10 in English and can connect to the U of T wireless network. For additional information on selecting a laptop, or for more information on macOS or Apple hardware, please see the Recommended Technology Requirements page.
All students will receive access to MS Office 365. Detailed instructions about downloading to your personal device requires an activated UTmail+ email address, and can be found on this page.
The extensive U of T library system also has many computer stations available to use on site. Please refer to their site for location and other computer support information.
A few of the libraries also have short-term loan programs (normally up to 5 hours) for laptops and accessories, such as:

- G. Ivey Library (New College) tech info page
- J. Pratt Library (Victoria College) tech info page
