Description of the practicum site and student activities:
While with Peel District School Board a prospective intern would have the opportunity to shadow a school based social worker or a social worker who is stationed in a central position. While with the PDSB an intern would support students from grades JK to grade 12. PDSB social workers support students in Peel, Caledon and Mississauga. Student activities include taking part in PD that is offered to PDSB social work staff, providing both 1:1 and or group counselling.
