Kadeem Brown
Kadeem is a doctoral student in the Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Kadeem has a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care from TMU. Kadeem has practiced professionally with diverse children and youth in the education system, the child welfare system, clinically, and in the community for over 15 years. Kadeem’s research interests include experiences of youth exposed to community violence, experiences of and responses to trauma, decision-making processes, and supports for Black youth living in underserved communities. Kadeem currently holds an Ontario Graduate Scholarship.
