A message to Spring 2025 graduates from FIFSW Alumni Association President Andria Allen

Dear Graduates,   

On behalf of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Alumni Association, it is my pleasure to officially welcome you to our alumni community.  

As graduates of FIFSW, you are all now members of our Alumni Association, and we look forward to meeting, working with, and learning from you as you embark on this next stage in your career.  

As social workers, we are committed to pursuing life-long learning. The FIFSW Alumni Association supports this pursuit by hosting workshops and lectures to support our growth in the profession and stay informed of the latest developments in research and practice. 

On Monday, June 16th, the FIFSW Alumni Association will be holding its Annual General Meeting via Zoom. All new graduates are invited to attend — stay tuned for more details! I encourage you to update your email address so that the Faculty and our Association can keep you informed of this event and others scheduled for the future.  

There are many other exciting ways to stay connected to the Faculty and the University. New graduates are encouraged to consider becoming a field instructor, take part in in our Alumni Mentoring Program or participate in Faculty committees, working groups and consultations. The University of Toronto offers a number of additional benefits for alumni as well, including a discount on courses at the School of Continuing Studies within five years of graduation.
