Description of the practicum site and student activities:

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) is offering practicum opportunities for MSW students from September 2025-April 2026. TCDSB schools are located across the GTA. Social work support is provided to students ages 4-18. Services offered may include: individual counselling, crisis intervention, group therapy, classroom programs/interventions, student & staff presentations, monthly professional development meetings, and other tasks as they may arise. The MSW student will have the opportunity to learn about community resources available to the students/families.

Practicum Requirements:

☒ Immunizations per PHA Guidelines

☒ Covid Vaccinations

☒ Police Reference/Vulnerable Sector Check

☒ Travel by public transportation between home visits, or satellite offices, or community meetings, etc.

Other requirements:

Open to Catholic students only (reference letter from a Pastor or Baptismal certificate) to be send to partnershipdevelopment@tcdsb.org
