Steps to join the Alumni Mentorship Program
1. Visit FIFSW Connect and click the “JOIN NOW” button on the top right corner of the page.
If you already have an account on Connect you can skip to Step 5.
2. Choose the “Register with Email” button at the bottom.
3. Choose “Alumni” or “Student” for the Affiliation
4. Your registration will be sent to our system to be verified within 2 business days.
Once verified, you will receive an email from the Connect system automatically.
Please watch for this email – it may appear in your Junk folder. If you do not receive any verification after 2 business days, please contact raaz.einypourfazli@utoronto.ca as soon as possible.
5. Log into the platform and click on your image and choose “Edit profile”.
6. Complete your profile
Ensure your profile is as complete as possible by filling in each field. Pay attention especially to the fields that are mandatory (marked with an asterisk). This will help to make a better match with your mentor/mentee.
7. Choose the Mentoring Program and your correct role
At the bottom, within the “Offer Help” section, choose your role according
Alumni: select the “Alumni Program” in the “Offer Mentoring” section
Students: select the “Alumni Program” option in the “Seek Mentoring” section,
Click “Save”! You will then receive the specific engagement invitations.
8. Join the mentorship group
Click on the “Groups” option in the left-hand menu.
9. Find and select the “2024-2025 Alumni Mentorship Program
There are separate groups for the Mentors (alumni) and mentees (students), choose the appropriate one.
Click join, and wait for your request to be approved. This may take up to 2 business days.
10. This will confirm your registration in the program
We will match mentors with students. You will receive a notification in December once matching has been completed.
