Jori Jones

Jori is a doctoral student at the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto.  Since completing her MA in Social Work in 2011, Jori has practiced in community and hospital settings specializing in crisis work and youth mental health.  She has maintained a private practice for the past decade, and currently holds a position as an Advanced Practice Clinical Leader at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health supporting both inpatient and outpatient clinical interdisciplinary teams.  Presently at the faculty, Jori is an instructor for the Social Work Practice in Mental Health course, and she is also assisting on a SSHRC IDG funded project exploring youth suicide and systems of care (PI: Toula Kourgiantakis).  Her research interests include understanding structural violence impacting access to mental health services for youth, particularly for those with sex trafficking experiences.
