Florence Wong (R.S.W, Counsellor, Theraplay Practitioner) (she/her) is a doctoral student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Her research interests focus on child welfare, healthcare, and neurodiversity. Prior to beginning her doctoral program, Florence worked at the Child Rehabilitation Service for over eight years in Hong Kong. Being one of CS Voice’s major editors, she has actively participated in social advocacy works to promote social justice and diversity. Moreover, Florence has several experiences in research and development. She was involved in developing positive education training protocols for social workers and healthcare professionals to deliver positive education programs for children and youth with mental health issues. She also designed parenting programs to foster positive parenting for families of children with disabilities. She is currently a researcher for the Young Parent Project and clinical research studies related to COVID and online supervision. In addition to her research work, Florence is also active in online education and supervision.
