Biography: 

Trish is a second year PhD student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. Her MSW research analyzed how the Toronto Police Service’s act of performing neighbourhood “sweeps” impacted harm reduction behaviours in individuals experiencing homelessness. Trish is also a policy development officer at the City of Toronto. Her current research interests include understanding how the public sector impacts social innovation. Trish is an Ontario Graduate Scholar and an accomplished public servant. In 2012 she won the City Managers Award – the highest honour in the Toronto Public Service – for her role in establishing the Urban Elder Street Outreach Initiative. In her spare time she coordinates Public Policy Book Club (Toronto!).
