Ted McNeill
Dr. McNeill is an Adjunct Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. He is the former Director of Social Work and Child Life at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto where he was also appointed as a Project Director in the hospital’s Research Institute.
His academic interests include child and family adaptation to chronic health conditions, positive father involvement, evidence-based practice, diversity, and the social determinants of health, including the toxic effect of poverty on health. These issues are part of his continuing interest in families, health, and social justice.
He brings an understanding of the institutional context of social work practice and is knowledgeable about an interprofessional approach to care.
