Biography: 

Susan Blacker has more than 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, educator and leader in the field of cancer and palliative care. She presently is the Senior Director, Cancer and Palliative Program Planning and Performance at Sinai Health System in Toronto, Ontario. Previously she was the Director, Cancer Services Planning and Performance at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Susan holds at an appointment as regional Psychosocial Oncology lead with the Toronto Central Regional Cancer Program/Cancer Care Ontario.  She is also the clinical co-lead for the Toronto Central Palliative Care Network and the Quality Co-Lead for the Division of Palliative Care in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Toronto.

Susan is a founding board member of Social Work Hospice Palliative Care Network (SWHPN), and was the 2013 recipient of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology Education Excellence Award.
