Biography:
Nelson is a PhD candidate at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. His research interests include adolescent and young adult mental health and addictions, social epidemiology, adolescent and young adult risk taking behavior, and harm reduction. Nelson’s doctoral research focuses on understanding and exploring online sports gambling behaviors and risks among young adults. Currently, he is the recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Canada Graduate Scholarships—Doctoral Program (CGS-D) award.
