Biography: 

Bruce Leslie is the Manager of Quality Assurance at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. He has been conducting and participating in research in child welfare for the last 30 years.

He manages and directs research in his present position and develops, facilitates and coordinates studies with outside institutions and academics. Fourteen studies are currently at various stages of development, implementation and knowledge facilitation with his agency.

Through the years he has been an investigator, co-investigator and collaborator on numerous studies with grant support of about $2.5 million from various national, provincial and more local funders. Some of the topic areas include Runaways, Crack Cocaine use and Family Functioning, Youth Aftercare, Housing and child welfare, Youth at Risk, Risk Assessment, Stress and child welfare, Use of Translators, and Research Partnerships. He has published articles on these topics and made presentations at numerous conferences locally, nationally and internationally.
