Description of the practicum site and student activities:

While with Peel District School Board a prospective intern would have the opportunity to shadow a school based social worker or a social worker who is stationed in a central position. While with the PDSB an intern would support students from grades JK to grade 12. PDSB social workers support students in Peel, Caledon and Mississauga. Student activities include taking part in PD that is offered to PDSB social work staff, providing both 1:1 and or group counselling. Facilitating a variety of group activities for a specific student population.

Practicum Requirements:

☒ Use of Own Car

☒ Comfort working with the population being served

☒ Comprehensive report writing and documentation

☒ Lived experience/Current member of the community being served

☒ Language (specify in field below): fluency in Arabic
