Description of the practicum site and student activities:

Shadowing client appointments and helping to support clients/ families;
Assisting with case consultations,
Attending community meetings;
Involvement in individual therapy as well as groups and clinics;
Adhering to the organizational policies and procedures;
Working in collaboration with other students and staff;
Assistance with clinical assessments and clinical documentation
Advocacy and case management experience;
Providing assistance to staff with various research projects;
Working directly with clients and completing administrative duties

Practicum Requirements:

☒ Police Reference/Vulnerable Sector Check

☒ Driver’s License

☒ Use of Own Car

☒ Comfort working with the population being served

☒ Comprehensive report writing and documentation

☒ Evening attendance
