Description of the practicum site and student activities:
- Shadowing client appointments and helping to support clients/ families;
- Assisting with case consultations,
- Attending community meetings;
- Involvement in individual therapy as well as groups and clinics;
- Adhering to the organizational policies and procedures;
- Working in collaboration with other students and staff;
- Assistance with clinical assessments and clinical documentation
- Advocacy and case management experience;
- Providing assistance to staff with various research projects;
- Working directly with clients and completing administrative duties
Practicum Requirements:
☒ Police Reference/Vulnerable Sector Check
☒ Driver’s License
☒ Use of Own Car
☒ Comfort working with the population being served
☒ Comprehensive report writing and documentation
☒ Evening attendance
