Prof. Bhuyan and Thorncliffe caregiver community members appear before House of Commons

On November 1, 2016, Professor Rupaleem Bhuyan and members of the caregiver community from Thorncliffe Neighbourhood Office appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration to speak about Family Reunification.

Under the current Liberal government, there are a number of policy changes that are negatively impacting migrant caregivers’ access to permanent residence, leading to longer periods of family separation.
