Bio
Liangqi (Cecilia) Shen is a PhD student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. She is interested in applying a life-course perspective to examine how disabilities and chronic illnesses shape the health and life trajectories of individuals, their caregivers, and their families.
She has experience working with large longitudinal and national datasets, including the Canadian Community Health Survey, the Health and Retirement Study, and the National Survey of Children’s Health, as well as conducting primary data collection and systematic reviews across Canada, the United States, and China. She also had practice experience supporting children with autism and their families in Hangzhou, China.
