Our practice values being inclusive, open minded, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, queer-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming.
Individual therapy is done with clients focusing around the relationship with oneself, relational dynamics and attachment with others, self and co-regulation, and healing from trauma. Couples work is done with clients focusing on strengthening their relationship, improving communication, attachment styles, perspective taking and empathy, self regulation, and addressing unhealthy patterns that occur in the relationship.
Therapy modalities include Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Relational Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Developmental Model for Couple’s Therapy. We additionally support students moving into a place of confidence with their skills and abilities through weekly clinical supervision and monthly team consultation.
