Description of the practicum site and student activities:
For over 70 years Findhelp Information Services has been helping people find the supports they need through multi-lingual 211 services, speciality lines, digital solutions, social media and the management of the national 211 database, supporting national requests for data sharing and collaboration. With more than 250,000 contacts and over 1,000,000 online searches annually we are one of the most experienced centres in North America, while ensuring a personal, local commitment to service.
Our students engage in unique opportunities. Students are aligned with leadership to evolve our equity and reconciliation commitments and complete a variety of macro and mezzo level projects. Each term is different as the organization continually evolves, and students are offered a variety of projects to learn macro level social work skills. Students are also engaged in management level activities to help evolve their leadership and management level experience. We seek to engage students who are excited to bring their knowledge and reflections to us, with the student experience focus on enhancing skills, capabilities and learnings.
