Stress-Free Degree Lecture: The GTA Housing Crisis: Can it be Solved?

May 26, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Location to be announced

The rise in income and wealth inequality since the 1990s has produced greater social and spatial segregation in Canadian metropolitan areas. Inflation in the cost of housing is furthering racialized and intergenerational wealth disparities. In this talk, David Hulchanski, a professor of housing and community development at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, will discuss how the labour and housing markets, tax system, and social policies produced these trends and how they can be reversed.

*Please note that this session will be recorded and made available at a later date. Registrants for this lecture will receive the link when the recording is posted.
