The Transformative Nature of Grief and Bereavement

This lecture will examine major psychodynamic and post modern theoretical views of grief and bereavement. Attendees will ascertain how grief may lead to depression or its opposite: resulting in altruistic acts that change the mourner and the mourner’s relationship to the person who has. Consideration will be given to the clinical implications of transforming grief into social action.
