IPE Orientation (Virtual)

September 26, 2022 @ 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm

IPE Invitation to students

The Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work invites students to a virtual orientation session about the Interprofessional Education program at the University of Toronto on September 26th from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm.

Interprofessional collaboration is one of the most important skills that social workers can learn. Social Workers are part of teams in all sectors and mastering collaborative practice skills is a key component of social work practice. The Interprofessional Education (IPE) program is a university wide program for all health-related faculties. It is a program that supports health professional students and social work students to learn with, from and about one another in order to enable effective collaboration to improve health outcomes for clients and communities.  It is a required program for all health-related programs, except social work.  Social Work students, however, are required to participate in select IPE activities as a faculty.

Attend this virtual orientation in order to learn more about the University wide IPE program and hear from social work faculty leads and social work student leaders, about the advantages of participating in the program as well as getting answers to some of the most common questions about IPE at University of Toronto. Please see details below.
