Our keynote lecture, presented by FIFSW alum Jennifer Shields, is titled “Clinical Conversations: Working with Parts and Ego State Therapy, Practical Tools to Boost your Mental Health this Winter”.
Date: Monday, December 13th, 2021
Time: 6:30pm—8:00pm
Location: Zoom
About the Talk:
Join Jennifer Shields for a 1.5-hour workshop where she will discuss the fascinating research behind Ego State Therapy and getting to know the “parts” of yourself to improve wellbeing this holiday season. Through the lens of Ego State Therapy, we will explore themes of why people can be triggered by time off of work, family gatherings, and gloomy weather. By learning about how to become aware of and access different “parts” of self, participants will explore how they can help themselves feel more confident to face times of stress.
This workshop is open to all University of Toronto Alumni and all members of the public who are interested in the practical applications of mental health theory and research.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss, ask questions, and engage in several practices to enhance learning. Participants will leave feeling calm and resourced to practice resilience during difficult times.
