In this interactive session, facilitators will discuss the roles that social location, intersectionality, and structural oppression can play in the development and treatment of eating disorders. We will provide an overview of a variety of experiences of eating disorders, discuss leading advocates in the field, and share ways that students can help to shift the common and limiting narrative about what eating disorders “look like.”
