All-Cohort MSW Orientation
August 31, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
As the summer draws to a close, we look forward to coming together as a community of learners, thinkers, and changers in the fall.
All-cohort MSW Orientation
August 31st, 9:00am-1:00pm EST
Attendees: Incoming 2-Year MSW, Advanced Standing MSW, MSW-ITR
This event will take place virtually, via Zoom.
A registration link was sent to all students by email. Check your inbox for this link.
The MSW Orientation sets the intention for the learning, reflecting, and dialogue that take place across Orientation Week. It also allows you to connect with fellow students, staff, and faculty, and learn about key university-wide and faculty-based resources to support your student experience. We highly encourage you to attend to help kickstart your time here at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work!
Please note that the MSW Orientation is different from the SGS Orientation. The SGS Orientation is optional for students, and is more general to your experience as a graduate student.
Pre-requisite online module
Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre Workshop
The MSW Orientation includes a workshop presented by the Sexual Violence Prevention & Support Centre. This presentation requires you to complete an online module before Orientation on August 31st. We have attached a document entitled ‘Sexual Violence Prevention Centre Workshop Participant’s Guide’, which contains information on how to access this pre-workshop training.
Note that you will require a UTORid to complete the online module. Your UTORid provides access to online services like your UofT email, course content on Quercus, library resources, your Microsoft365 license, and more. Instructions for converting your JOINid to a UTORid can be found here. You can also watch this step-by-step instruction video.
