Lakeridge Health – Durham Amaze, Early Psychosis Intervention Program
Durham Amaze, Early Psychosis Intervention Program, Lakeridge Health
Location:
Whitby Mall, Suite W214, 1615 Dundas Street East, Whitby
Description of the practicum site and student activities:
We offer a collaborative team based approach to clients experiencing a first episode of psychosis. Our clinical team is composed of a youth and adult psychiatrist, nurses and clinicians. Students would be located primarily at this site, although some travel to various sites, or community visits may be required, with supervision. We have clinic days with psychiatry on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and these days would be most beneficial for a student hoping to experience our collaborative team approach. There is some flexibility with the days offered for a student, allowing us to set up additional experiences for them within our mental health program.
