Seydegart-Spears Fellowships in Palliative Care for People who are Dying in hospice, in the home or on the street

To be awarded on the basis of academic merit to up to two students registered at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work either in the MSW or PhD program; financial need may be considered. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate an interest in working towards the advancement of social work practice and research in: a) palliative or hospice care, particularly for those in marginalized groups such as refugees or homeless persons; or b) exploring policy and research on medical assistance in dying (MAID) in Canada as it relates to cognitive decline/dementia; or c) examining the impacts on wellbeing related to cognitive decline/dementia in persons and their families.
