Andrew Eaton, PhD(c), receives awards from OHTN and GADE

Andrew Eaton has received an Endgame Student Leader Award from the Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN). This two-year, $50,000 award provides salary support for research and community leaders at different career stages to work with the OHTN to drive change. Andrew’s award in HIV and Aging focuses on his program of research to develop interventions that lessen the burdens of aging, with a focus on cognitive impairment, for people aging with HIV.
Andrew has also received the Honorable Mention for the 2019 Student Award for Leadership and Service from the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work (GADE). This award is given to social work doctoral students who have shown significant leadership in service to their university, or professional or academic associations. Andrew’s award is based on his work and volunteerism in Ontario’s HIV sector, social work leadership, and education.
