Low-Barrier, Higher Access: Service Provision Through an Indigenous Lens, with Nanook Gordon & Brianna Olson-Pitawanakwat of Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction

April 21, 2022 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join the GSA for a conversation with Nanook Gordon & Brianna Olson-Pitawanakwat (Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction) and Cathy Walker (Giwaabamin Street Patrol) on the importance of providing low-barrier service in community-based & clinical settings, and learn how non-Indigenous service providers can be better aligned with a decolonizing lens — especially if you don’t expect to work directly with Indigenous individuals.

This is great learning opportunity for social work, public health, continuing education, psychology, and any other human services students!

Brianna is an FIFSW MSW alumni, and will also be sharing with us her journey through social work & community work.

Admission is FREE
