“Distress Tolerance with DBT”
April 8 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Many of the clients we serve experience emotional distress due to life circumstances, often finding it overwhelming and debilitating. By learning to tolerate distressing circumstances, clients can both weather the storm of their emotions and learn to interpret their emotions and sensations as less distressing. This webinar, with featured speaker Laval Martin, will explore distress tolerance skills, through the lens of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). DBT is an evidence-informed and empirically-validated treatment modality, originally designed to treat people experiencing suicidal ideation and borderline personality disorder.
