This course will examine selected areas in clinical practice and health and social policy that reflect current issues and models of intervention used by social workers practicing with older adults and their families. As part of this course, students will focus on essential elements of policy as it relates to practice and research environments, and their links to the delivery of health and social services to older adults. The course will consider “issues on the ground” where connections between policy and practice are made to enhance the well-being of older Canadians.
