The Institutional Equity Office and the Anti-Racism & Cultural Diversity Office (ARCDO) in collaboration with Rotman’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Office invites U of T faculty, staff, students and the external community to register for the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD) event for a day of dialogue and community gathering to re-engage our collective spirit of responsibility, care and action planning towards our commitments to equitable and inclusive spaces for all.

Faith, Hope and Dialogue: Strengthening Anti-Racism Tools and Strategies for the Path Ahead

Deepening our anti-racism toolkits require self-reflection, dialogue and a recommitment to the principles and actions that serve to break down barriers and enhance environments that communicate we all belong. Difficult and complex events that occur both globally and closer to home have a profound impact on our university community. It is during these most challenging times we are called to re-energize our efforts and build intentional synergies that advance the journey of fostering inclusive environments in our post-secondary spaces.

The aim of this panel discussion is to explore the existing tensions and challenges being experienced in engaging EDI work within institutions and to share strategies and practices that will reaffirm the value of institutional EDI change work for the diverse university community.
