Activism and Advocacy in Social Work

This session will explore activism in the realm of social work and offer dialogue in respect of understanding activism efforts from personal and professional spaces as well as within considerations of ethics. Discussion will include the challenges and benefits of engaging in advocacy efforts with reference to safety. Students will have an opportunity to share and unpack their experiences with activism.
