Dr. Notisha Massaquoi holds a BA in psychology from Western University, an MSW from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Sociology and Equity Studies from the University of Toronto/OISE. Her research and publications have focused on Canadian Black Feminist Thought, Racism and Health Outcomes for Black Communities and Anti-oppression practices within organizational settings. She is a subject matter expert in the area of Race-Based Data Collection in Canadian Systems. Notisha is also one of Canada’s leading experts in developing equity responsive organizations. Most notably she spearheaded the development and served as the Executive Director of Women’s Health in Women’s Hands Community Health Centre in Toronto, Canada – the only Community Health Centre in North America, which provides specialized primary healthcare for Black and racialized women. Notisha will be joins the Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow this fall.
