Marie Eve Ayotte, MSW, RSW, Centre Francophone de Toronto
Marie Eve has worked in a wide range of health and social services organizations in Quebec and in Ontario. Since arriving in Toronto, she has developed a strong interest in improving services to Francophones in a city mainly focused towards an English-Speaking Client base. Through the City of Toronto she had the opportunity to collaborate with Black Creek Community Health Centre staff to develop services in French to better serve the Francophone population within the GTA.
Currently as Coordinator of Mental Health Services at the Centre Francophone de Toronto, she engages with the Francophone community throughout their journey within the health-care system. She is required to navigate the system and work with external partners, in both English and French on a daily basis.
Domine Rutayisire, MSW, RSW, Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture
Domine is a multilingual Mental Health Counselor at the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture (CCVT). The CCVT is an organization that aids victims of torture and war to over come their lasting effects. She has worked as a counselor, Case Manager, Educator and Coordinator in mainly Mental Health, Health Care and Education settings.
Domine has broad experience working with a diverse population, including newcomers and refugees, presenting with various mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, relationship issues, addiction, post-traumatic stress and others. She provides individual, couple, youth and family counseling. She is also experienced in working with individuals of diverse linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
