JOB POSTING: Research Assistant (Casual, Limited-Term) – 1 Vacancy

The Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto invites applications for one opening as limited-term casual research assistants on the CIHR-funded Understanding Resident-to-Resident Interactions in Ontario Long-Term Care (URRI-ONLTC) study from May 20 to November 20 2024.
Hourly Rate: $28.56/hour
List of Duties:
- Collects information from residents in-person, following a predetermined templated list of questions
- Collects information using laptop, tablets, (and paper forms where needed)
- Perform Digital Data Entry (in-person)
- Carry out in-person observations in communal settings in Long-Term Care homes, following a predetermined checklist
- Attend training, staff meetings, and check-Ins (online & in-person)
- Making telephone calls
Qualifications:
- Must have experience working with older adults and staff in Ontario long-term care homes
- Undergraduate degree or College Diploma with considerable relevant experience
- Experience using tablets/laptops for data entry
- Ability to work for up to 8 hours/day (5 days; some evenings and weekends) seated and moving around in the long-term care home
- Master’s degree preferred
