Description of the practicum site and student activities:
The Hospital for Sick Children is a tertiary care pediatric site in Toronto, Ontario. The hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care for patients 0-18 years. The Hospital for Sick Children has a robust social work student program with orientation, weekly sessions, and an opportunity to attend myriad rounds. The Social Work Department also invites social work students to participate in the Family Therapy Treatment Seminar (offered weekly). The Complex Care Program supports children and youth who are technology-dependent and medically fragile.

- There are two universal bathrooms in the hospital that are wheelchair accessible with change table and lift. Work place accommodations can be supported with pre-planning.
