Donna Schatz
Donna has previously instructed SWK4102H-Social Policy and Social Welfare in the Canadian Context (ITR section). She works in the Department of Politics & Public Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) where she has taught a number of social policy courses as well as various courses in Canadian Politics, Gender and Politics, and Global Politics. She has also instructed Political Science courses at York University and the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. Her doctoral studies are from the Department of Political Science at York University. Her research areas include Canadian public policy, feminist and gender theory, Indigenous politics, critical race/ postcolonial theory, political economy and work, Canadian human rights policy, multicultural policy in Canada, and community and social activism. She has published and presented various conference papers on the topics of women and human rights, urban Indigenous politics, and gender, race, and exclusionary citizenship in Canada.
