Students & Field Instructors are invited to share #SupervisionSelfies for Social Work Week 2026

This year for Social Work Week, March 2 to 8, 2026, we are inviting students and their field instructors to help us celebrate and reflect on the vital relationships that develop during practicum. To this end, we’re encouraging them to submit a “Supervision Selfie” — a photo of students and their field instructors together in the workplace.
We’d also like to invite students to share how their practicum experience is enhancing your learning or strengthening your social work practice.
FIFSW will compile the selfies and testimonials to share on FIFSW’s website and social media platforms during Social Work Week. Our hope is that these fun photos will emphasize the supportive relationships within our social work community and our community’s commitment to working together to strengthen the field.
Please note that participation is voluntary. Those who are not comfortable sharing a photo or testimonial do not have to contribute.
Students and Field Instructors who are willing to participate may upload their selfie and share permissions through this online form. (Students will be able to access the form on behalf of themselves and their field instructor using their mail.utoronto.ca email address and UTORid.)
Submission deadline: February 13, 2026
If you have any questions about this project or have trouble with the form, please contact FIFSW’s Senior Communications Strategist Dale Duncan.
We are looking forward to showcasing as many #SupervisionSelfies as possible to provide a window into the important work that social workers do to support and empower individuals, families, and communities!
