Founded in the late 1970s\, GADE’s primary purpose is to promote rigor in doctoral education in social work\, focusing on preparing scholars\, researchers\, and educators who function as stewards of the discipline. \nFactor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work\n\nThe Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work was founded in 1914 when a group of far-seeing women recognized the need for professional social workers. For over a hundred years\, the Faculty has been committed to educating competent and effective social work professionals.
