DESCRIPTION:Preventing dropout is not enough:\nAn examination of the shifting risk in high school non-completion\nA Colloquium Presentation with Mathew Uretsky\n \nWednesday\, March 16\, 2016\n12:00p.m. – 1:00p.m.\nRoom 548\nA pizza lunch will be provided \n  \nMathew Uretsky is a Statistician and Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. His practice experience includes nearly a decade working with schools\, families\, and community organizations to improve outcomes in underserved communities in the U.S. and internationally. Currently he is working with state agencies in Maryland to improve their capacity to use administrative data for policy and program development. His research interests include the development and evaluation of interventions to support positive youth development. More specifically\, his work examines the risk and protective factors that impact the academic and behavioral development of children and youth\, with a focus on how the school and family environment influence student outcomes. \n  \n  \n
