DESCRIPTION:Register for Practice Friday\, January 29\, 2016\n9:30am-12:30pm\nRoom 702 \nAll MSW students are welcome\, with approval from your field instructor. \nThe vignette (simulation) features a young man struggling with marijuana use\, as well as conflict with his parents. \nJanuary 22 (Room 702)\nJanuary 29 (Room 702)\nFebruary 5 (Room 222) \n  \nRegister in advance via e-mail to toula.kourgiantakis@utoronto.ca \n\nEach student can only register for one Practice Friday date\nIndicate preferred date\nField instructor approval\nIndicate your program year (Year 1\, Year 2 or Advanced Standing)\n\n  \nPractice Fridays will help students develop: \n\nAbility to link theory and practice while conducting assessment and using interviewing skills\nAbility to give and receive constructive feedback\nGreater confidence to ask difficult questions and discuss tough stuff\nGreater understanding of a client’s situation using an ecosystemic model\nIncreased self-awareness and ability to regulate one’s own emotions\n\n  \n
