COVID-19, Stigma and Public Health Responses, featuring Associate Professor Carmen Logie

Presented by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health HIV Working Group, this talk will explore stigma and its historical and current linkages with illness to better understand the stigma surrounding COVID-19. The presentation will include a discussion of the tensions between COVID-19 public health responses and stigma mitigation, the importance of an intersectional perspective toward COVID-19 stigma, and considerations for stigma mitigation in lifting (and reinstating) pandemic control measures.
