Online Training Modules

Total Practicum Hours:   9.75 hours (7.25 hours training, 2.5 hours written reflection)

Five online training modules that: provide provides a general overview of mental health challenges faced by youth, including an overview of the mental health continuum, trauma and building resilience; define human trafficking, general signs of recruitment, strategies and barriers for identifying victims; provide basic information on technology used by youth including background information on online gaming and internet use, healthy vs unhealthy involvement and signs of problems; provide an overview of important legislation and key justice-related terminology that impact youth with mental health and addictions issues; outline techniques for engaging families in affirming treatment and care of their LGBTQ youth, including a review of strategies used within the Family Acceptance Project (FAP).
